When parenthood crowded out the relationship between the spouses.
Case. After their firstborn the partners turned into “care staff”: sleep, fatigue, zero time for the two of them.
Model. Peak load put the system into emergency mode; the background process “the two of us” was halted for a critical task.
What helped. They rebalanced the load, brought in help, and restored at least short protected windows for the couple.
Lesson. It’s overload, not cooling. The core “we” can’t be swapped out for long.
