Infidelity revealed: the first days

What to do in the acute phase when trust collapses all at once.

Case. One partner learned of an affair. The system is in full failure: pain, shock, an urge to cut ties on the spot.

Model. SEV-1: the sense of “we” has collapsed. As in any incident, irreversible decisions in the first days are banned; the data is corrupted.

What helped. Not deciding “forever” at the peak; giving themselves time; an honest talk about whether both want to rebuild.

Lesson. Disclosure isn’t an automatic end; it’s the point where repair is decided.

Case is synthetic and anonymized; any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Not therapy or legal advice.
