Escaping into games and hobbies from talking

When a hobby turns into a wall between partners.

Case. One partner spends all free time gaming; the other feels invisible.

Model. A hobby itself is normal. The problem is when it becomes a “wall” — a way not to be in contact.

What helped. They separated healthy rest from avoidance; agreed on protected couple time; brought back the talks they were escaping from.

Lesson. It’s not about the game but about what it’s used to hide from.
