One is burned out, the other doesn’t notice

How to support an overloaded partner in the first months of parenthood.

Case. One partner is at their limit after birth; the other is busy with work and doesn’t see the scale of overload.

Model. A node runs at 110% with no alerts; the other node relies on outdated metrics.

Protocol. Introduce explicit monitoring of each other’s state; heavy requests to the overloaded partner are temporarily banned; more concrete help, fewer tips.

Lesson. If a state is hard, that’s a system fact, not a “mood”. With a persistent downturn — see a specialist.

See Disaster recovery.

Case is synthetic and anonymized; any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Not therapy or legal advice.
