Unequal chores: who carries the home

When one side is overloaded with housework and the other “doesn’t notice”.

Case. One partner carries most of the domestic load and stores up resentment; the other genuinely doesn’t see a problem.

Model. Unbalanced load: one node runs at its limit, the other is under-utilized, and there’s no monitoring — the failure builds in silence.

Protocol. Make the invisible labor visible: list every task and redistribute honestly, rather than “helping”.

Lesson. “Helping” implies the home is one person’s zone. The home is a shared system.

See Silence and endurance.

Case is synthetic and anonymized; any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Not therapy or legal advice.
