Where to turn
This site helps you understand and reflect, but it does not replace a real specialist. If it's hard right now, here is where to turn. We collect nothing — this is just a directory.
Finding help in your country
- Emergency — if there is a threat to life, call your local emergency number immediately.
- Crisis hotlines — most countries have a free, confidential emotional-support line. Search "[your country] crisis helpline".
- Findahelpline.com — a global directory of verified helplines by country.
How to find a couples therapist
- Look for the right specialisation — "couples therapy", "EFT", or "Gottman Method".
- Check credentials — a proper degree and licensing, not just a short course.
- The first session is a fit check. It's fine to try 2–3 therapists and pick who feels right for both of you.
- You can go alone. Even if your partner isn't ready yet — one partner's work often shifts the whole dynamic.
Asking for help is not weakness and not "the end". It's what mature couples do to protect what matters to them.
