About

Uptime Family is a non-commercial research project on the mechanics of long-term marriage. We translate reliability-engineering principles into the language of family.

Who runs it

A systems engineer (DevSecOps) and researcher. Years of designing fault-tolerant systems. Having gone through a family crisis, I chose research over destruction — a systematic look at why relationships break and how the durable ones are built.

Why engineering

Family psychology describes "what to feel." Reliability engineering answers a different question — "how the system is built and where it breaks." The two complement each other. Our contribution is language and frameworks, not a new therapy.

Scientific basis

We draw on the Gottman Institute (50+ years observing couples), systemic family therapy, and open Rosstat/VCIOM data. The engineering metaphor is a form of presentation, not a replacement for evidence.

Non-commercial

The project sells no courses, consultations, or services, and collects no donations.
