Disagreements over raising children
When parents argue about strictness — and the child uses it.
The problem
One parent is strict, the other lenient; arguments in front of the child, who learns to play on the adults’ gap.
How we see it
Two unaligned access policies in one system. The child finds privilege escalation through the parents’ contradiction.
What to do
- Align rules between adults in advance and in private.
- A united front before the child, even with internal disagreements.
- Resolve disputes in the “backend”, not in production in front of the child.
- Respect each other’s input; don’t undermine the partner’s authority before the kids.
✗ Чего НЕ делать
- Don’t argue about who’s the “right” parent in front of the child.
- Don’t cancel the partner’s decisions before the kids.
- Don’t let the child become the judge of your dispute.
